One of the last steps in my makeup routine and personally one of my favs is lips! I love experimenting with different lip products, finding new combos and figuring out the shades that compliment me the best. My go to lip will ALWAYS be a nude. You'll probably never or rarely ever see me in color. The products included are my favorite nude lip products as of now. Some of which I've been using since the beginning of my makeup journey and some I've recently discovered.

1. NYX Butter Gloss

Before all of the hype surrounding Fenty Gloss Bomb, Too Faced Lip Injection, and other popular glosses right now the ONLY gloss that really mattered in the beauty community was NYX Butter Gloss. This gloss is truly iconic! It has such a creamy and long-lasting formula. They aren't sticky at all & feel like butter indeed. Besides MAC lipglasses, these were some of the first nude glosses that had a shade range inclusive to women of color. If you don't have this yet (which I doubt) this is definitely a product you need in your collection. They are pigmented enough to see the true color but sheer enough to still look natural. These glosses are under 10 dollars and are much better than many of the high-end glosses on the market right now. You can find them at stores like Target and Ulta, you won't regret it!
My favorite shades: Madeline (duh), Tiramisu, Creme Brulee & Fortune Cookie
2. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb

Ok, I know everyone on the planet owns this already but let's get into it! Fenty Gloss Bomb is for sure the best gloss to come out in the last few years. Rihanna made so much noise in the beauty industry when she launched Fenty Beauty in 2017. She released so many amazing products and Gloss Bomb was one of them. Every time I shop at Sephora I buy one of these just because. Is it worth 20 dollars? Yes. They literally last forever and have the most gorgeous, comfortable formula. These glosses are sheer and make your lips look extra plump and juicy. Honestly, such a revolutionary gloss.
My favorite shades: FU$$Y & $weet Mouth
3. MAC Lipstick in "Peachstock"

Peachstock is one of the best nude lipsticks on the market for women of color. The undertone is peach but it's super flattering on darker complexions. This is the only MAC lipstick that I have bought more than once, it really is that pretty. I wear this mainly under lipglosses, including Milani gloss in "Gold Dust" and Fenty Gloss Bomb in "Fenty Glow" (any sheer gloss will do). This has been a must-have for years.
4. NARS Lipstick in "Honolulu Honey"

This lipstick is my PERFECT nude. It's not too pink or too brown and super flattering on my skin tone. I never really wear lipsticks alone unless they're satin or cream sheen but this one has a formula that I love. It isn't drying but it isn't satin either, I would describe it as a semi-matte lipstick comfortable enough to wear on its own. It is on the pricier side but I do recommend it if you're looking for a true nude.
5. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in "Abu Dhabi"

If you know me, you know that I am not a fan of matte lips. I hate the way they feel and I personally don't think they look good on me. I always like my lips to have some type of shine to them. This product changed the way I feel about mattes! This is definitely a soft matte, it feels so light and comfortable on the lips that I sometimes forget I even have it on. The color payoff is nice and it won't hurt your pockets! If you have mixed feelings about matte lips like I do, give this a try.
My Favorite Lip Liners
1. NYX "Nude Truffle" (This is my go-to and the only lip liner I use when wearing a gloss)
2. NYX "Brown"
3. Morphe "Sugar Pie" "Bite Me" and "Sweet Tea"
4. Colourpop "BFF3"
5. MAC - Cork
